I FOUND YOUR BLOG!!! And now, ...Cyndi Monroe..... I FOUND YOUR BLOG!!! And now, please tell me, how is it that you are not totally famous!!!!

I saw the Book of ELi on the plane to Africa and loved it. When I got to Africa, the movie made the most sense. At the point that you have nothing is when you cling to what's most important. You and I can't fathom what actually having nothing would be like. But seeing the longing for truth in people eyes helped me understand a little better.

In The Book of Eli i think they made it seem more like desperation for knowledge of the truth. But, i think desperation a more pathetic way of saying longing, so in a way its kind of the same thing. And longing for something draws you closer to whatever it is you are looking for.

If we long for Him, we'll be closer to finding Him. I don't think we need to be in post-apocolyptic times to get it and I'm sure no one wants to be. Surrendering completely is a hard thing to do, but think of what will happen if we don't. We both know what we need to do, now its just a matter of doing it..... you just said it better than me!!!dianna.lopezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11124270383238206786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4287405376696511478.post-31083832314534808152010-02-11T11:27:41.270-08:002010-02-11T11:27:41.270-08:00Not long after seeing Book of Eli, I watched Ray V...Not long after seeing Book of Eli, I watched Ray VanderLaan's last lesson from In the Dust of the Rabbi DVD. It was about the time and expense the Greeks/Romans put into hearing from an oracle. He sums it up by asking us what we are doing with the very words of God that sit on our coffee table? Conviction - Why aren't we devouring it daily? Guess it's a matter of priorities.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04968552430274181881noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4287405376696511478.post-22581487081894457412010-01-28T23:26:13.462-08:002010-01-28T23:26:13.462-08:00HAHA!
